Merryl Le Roux - OXCI I had a dream that I believe was given to me by the Lord for OXCI, that I believe was definitely a picture of His heart for us and this country. Out of it, this is what I feel He said to me to share: "My heart is crying for these people, there is such seperation between them and Me. I am beginning to do a work in your midst that will reveal your hearts. I need your hearts cry to come in line with mine. I want you to feel My passion for the lost - I want you to know the ache I have in My heart for those denying My power! I want to draw you together as a church and show you My heart - if you will let Me. What has become comfortable and secure and familiar in your meeting together - I am wanting to strip away. I am calling you to single mindedness, of joint purpose and hearts that burn with the urgency of My kingdom. I am wanting to burn My heart onto yours so that they become one! Then you will understand - in part - my love for the lost. You will have a window into My heart and you won't see the world in the same away again. Allow Me to change you as a church, allow Me to blow My winds of change through your midst so that I can use you and make you a voice to this nation. Throw aside the things that side track. Seek My face wholeheartedly for the solution to issues and hurts that pull you down. I am calling My church to wholeness, to healing on every level - in your relationships, your marriages, your minds and bodies. Seek Me for healing so that in your freedom I can use you. I want to purge what isn't of Me and build a people, strong, whole and filled with a passion to devote your lives to My purposes." What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things, I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him.' Forest Town Church Children’s Visit – 2007 Don’t be discouraged because God sees your heart – Matthew I saw aduts lighting the candles but now I see the children lighting candles as well.-Andrew I saw an army marching through many cities and as they were marching many people were coming out their houses and joining the army marching down the streets. I felt that this church was going to bring people out of the world to come and join the church - James Ephesians 6:10- 18 - “ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Trust Him. - Anon Words received 2004. 19 July 2004 Dear Cliff and Hayley Since I heard you felt called to Oxford I queried with the Lord as to how does one know where to go, when called. It has been a long process of small bits and pieces at a time, but on Tues 26 th it all fell into place for me.This is not so much a word for you but a confirmation. The Lord gave me a botany lesson (I need practical lessons to understand) I clearly believe now that where one goes is of little consequence to God as he sees the passion, readiness and complete surrender to Him, to be available to go (almost like on standby) that He then takes a closer look. He affirms that to be transplanted will be beneficial as growth could be stunted if not done. He also takes into account the nature and condition of the ‘plant’ and will choose a compatible transfer so that when replanted there will be a vigorous growth spurt and then a well rooted transplant has taken place. I had a picture of a baobab tree trying to survive life at the North Pole. It could never happen unless in monitored conditions which would be uncomfortable for the baobab and to adapt would be impossible. I really believe in my heart that God in his unfathomless wisdom has decided that Oxford would be the place where your roots would soon be established and the life and joy of growth would be evident. All this was wrapped up in the scripture which Deborah Arrowsmith Read : Philipians 4:11,12. Another scripture is Psalm 1:3 (By the way another interpretation for prosper is bloom). All I want to say in closing is that I know that you will bloom where you are planted. It won’t be an effort as the Lord has gone before you to assure that the ground is well prepared and mulched for both of you. He is the Lord most high, your rock and your refuge. Like verse 15 you will be the living memorials to the grace, faithfulness, love and righteousness of God. You will not be put to shame because you have/are waited on your Lord. He honours obedience.Your way may not always be smooth but know this. The Lord your God has gone before you. He will establish the work of your hands. (He will uphold you at all times and people will see the faithfulness and the lorry of the Lord upon you all. Hi Cliff and Hayley (27July 2004) A word on caution – all the words that have come. Yes you are blessed and protected but don’t let this make you blasé. God is watching over you but be alert. Keep your eyes on Him. There ma be people who will try to disrupt what you are sent to do. Example on Philipians. People seek to teal your peace and to bring disunity. Be alert, watchful. Dear Cliff and Hayley When I was praying for you last week the Holy Spirit gave me two words for you: You’re not alone – when you say goodbye and get onto the plane and you feel that now it’s just the four of you. You’re not alone (I believe this ties in with the word from Tuesday night’s prayer meeting. God’s power is on you. I looked into different scriptures which reveal God’s power and I believe that Luke 18 and 19 is for you. You’ve been a humble inspiration to me and I will hold you in my prayers. The water was squirting out of the fountain rapidly, and in the sqirts of water were the words “love” – hundreds of them. I just felt that as you show LOVE the peopleof Oxford, God will open their hearts, their hearts will be softened, the scales will fall from their eyes, the mute will be able to speak, and they will receive Christ as their Savior. Hi there Cliff and Hayley (3 November 2004) At prayer meeting last night I got a word for you guys and just wanted to share it. There’s a scripture in Ephesians 3:7 that says: I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of His power. I felt to encourage you guys that God’s grace was given to you to plant so rely on His grace and not on anything else. I also felt to encourage you to sing new songs to the Lord, songs of victory, hope, salvation and joy!! I felt that in worship much of the battle will be won, worship in your quiet times, worship on the way to the shops, sing over Oxford, declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His glorious light. Sing of the hope we have in Christ, be encouraged, JESUS is leading the way for you!!! Missing you lots and praying for you. Hayley I hope the guitar playing is going well, keep it up!!! It is fertile, rich and ready for planting. Hope all is going well. Ask God what He is seeing through His eyes. Keep heart! My son….My son God Bless Marisa November 2004 As I’ve been praying for you and the church there, I’ve had a sense that God has been digging foundations. The problem with foundations is that they are not visible and they give very little indication of what the final building will look like. But don’t be discouraged because the Lord is building the house, therefore you are not labouring in vain, leave it in the hands of the Master Builder. I sensed strongly that God wants to ‘throw the slab’ as such, in the spiritual realm and that he wants to ‘concrete in’ a foundation of prayer and prophetic direction which in turn you need to pray over. Train your people to pray and to pray with perseverance. There was a beautiful word last night for you, where God showed that the ground was already ploughed, all that needed removing was some thorns that had grown, and you would find ready ground underneath. I believe that the thorns will be removed in the spiritual realm as you pray. I believe that God will speak to you and give you strategy regarding how to begin ‘building the walls of the work He is doing there. It may be unusual and certainly not by the book in terms of church planting. As you press forward be sure to ‘guard your back’ in the sense of carefully protecting your relationships back home, especially with HCF and the apostolic team. The Lord gave me such a beautiful scripture for your boys from Isaiah 54:13: “ All your sons will be taught by the Lord and great will be your children’s peace.” Greg and Sue Lee. Dear Cliff and Hayley I got a picture of a lake with a calm surface. All of a sudden a pebble fell into the middle of the lake and started a ripple effect. The ripples went on and on and widened perceptibly. I think that the meaning of this is that you are the pebble and that you are going to cause ripples in the Oxford community and as the ripples in the picture spread so will your work for the Lord cover more and more ground. Words received 2003. Ezekiel 17:22-24. Roots of the cedar will be solid - hand of friendship - branch reaching out, tender and caring heart. Felt strongly over the last few weeks, the word cedar, which was confirmed on Sunday. Your roots will be solid like those of the cedar and your hand stretched out in friendship will be like the branches of the cedar tree, constantly sprouting new shoots as you come into contact with people you meet and draw them in. People will be drawn to you by your tender and caring heart. I saw you on a path and I felt the Lord say: Until now you have been on a rough path with plenty of bumps in the road, the path has been narrow and at times it has been so tough, so difficult to remain on this path and keep your eyes focused on me. I want to commend you for your faithfulness, my good & faithful servants, you are entering a new season, there is light at the end of the tunnel, I am taking you into a new season of reaping where you will begin to reap a harvest of souls for my Glory - set apart for Me. You have sown diligently & according to My Word, you will reap what you have sown and so today , I tell you remain in me and I will remain in you, keep your focus on me & you will see the fruit of what you have sown. I heard the sound of crying, chirping, hungry birds - I felt there were very hungry hearts, who had been crying out to God wanting food. Cliff had an enormous worm -. Follow the sound of hungry hearts - They are waiting for you - you are an answer to their prayers. Saw a picture of a clock tower and the Lord said that times were about to change in the life of the community in which you will serve Him. There are already people there who are in a place to receive not many, but a core. I17/08/2003. Cliff & Hayley. Matt 7:7-8, There is already a group praying & waiting for you! At the prayer meeting last week, as we were praying around the issue of the area that you are going to plant into, I saw a vision. It was of a neighborhood, the houses and streets, in dusk light. A huge luminous cross was lifted up, as though a standard, over the place. Then I saw one by one, certain houses coming alight, home by home with the light of Christ. I also sensed that God wants to bring a faithful few to stand with you as you plant. I felt very strongly that you should not go alone, and that God will bring trustworthy people to be team with you, some to go out with you from South Africa, and some that you will connect with over there. Stand with those few, be supported and protected, and many will be brought to you. I felt the lord is saying - do not be afraid of what you have to leave behind. For whatever you willingly sacrifice in order to be obedient to the call of God, will be restored to you many times over in the times to come - family, friends, fellowship and finances. Do not fear.
